If you’re not getting the results you want from marketing, many factors could be at play. Maybe (just maybe) you simply don’t have the time to stay consistent with social media, craft the perfect newsletter each month, and follow up on every lead! If that’s the case, you can save significant time and get better results by automating your marketing. Here are three easy ways to get started:
1. Automate Social Media
Success on social media requires that you stay current and consistent. You can save time on the bulk of your social media marketing by automating regular posts. There are lots of options for automation software, including Later, SocialPilot, Hootsuite, and Zoho. They come at all price points, from free to pricey, and include different bells and whistles.
It’s worth it to consider what features would be the most useful and take a few options for a test drive with a free trial. The right tool could save you a ton of time.
2. Automate Emails
If you’re following up on leads individually, you could be letting a lot of potential prospects slip through the cracks. True, there may be a few high-priority leads you need to handle personally. But for many of your less-personal contacts, you can craft a series of follow-up emails that will do the nurturing for you.
Try writing an email sequence that encourage leads to engage with you more and steer them toward your goal. Develop a few email nurturing series for leads from different demographics. Then set it and forget it (but don’t forget to check your stats!) – and watch the business roll in.
This can be done for people you’ve met in person, but it’s also ideal for people who sign up for your newsletter, provide their email in exchange for a white paper or other content, or others who opt into your marketing messages.
3. Automate Customer Service
Customer service is also a form of marketing. You can save time and keep your customers happy by using a chatbot to handle customer service tasks.
Chatbots are artificial intelligence software that use natural language processing to communicate with people while they’re on your website. A good chatbot can draw from a bank of existing conversational data to respond to questions in real time and improve through machine learning. Chatbots are also excellent at analyzing conversational data to detect trends, opportunities, and other key conversational data you can use to improve your business.
Automation is an easy way to get more out of your marketing. Apply these tools to your marketing strategy and see how far automation can take you.
