Autoresponder is a little tool with huge potential! It will:
- Automate your follow up process with prospects
- Help you close sales
- Improve communication with your clients and prospects
You can access an autoresponder through services like Constant Contact, AWeber or Vertical Response.
Let’s say you have a form on your website where a prospect can request more information. She enters her name, email address, and phone number in the form. She hits “Send” and this information is shot into a list called “Website Leads” in your email marketing program. Now she is a contact.
In that same email marketing program, you would have an autoresponder email that could include a special offer or incentive for the prospect to convert to a client. You could even include contact information for a specific person who will be following up by phone.
The autoresponder fires when the following is true: “If a new contact comes into the list ‘Website Leads,’ then this email will send out to the contact’s email address within 1 day.” The prospect receives the email and is reminded of the information request that she submitted the day before. This, together with the incentive in your autoresponder email, may trigger her to become a client.
And guess what? You didn’t have to lift a finger!
You can have any number of autoresponders and you can personalize them just like you would a standard promotional email. You can directly address the person by name, include your logos and photography, anything you can customize in your standard email messages through your email marketing program. In fact, making your autoresponders personal will greatly increase your response rate.
Hopefully this gives you some of the “Know How” on the Autoresponder tool . . . Another great reason to look into Email Marketing!
